Ingredients
1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought, thawed)
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
2 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
Optional fillings: fruit jam, chocolate chips, cream cheese, Nutella, lemon curd, or fresh fruit
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Roll out the puff pastry slightly on a floured surface.
3. Cut into desired shapes: squares for danishes, rectangles for turnovers, strips for twists, etc.
4. Add your chosen filling to the center.
5. Fold or shape as needed, and press edges to seal.
6. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle sugar.
7. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
8. Let cool slightly before serving.
