Description

Creamy one-pan beef stroganoff made with tender steak, mushrooms, and a rich sour cream sauce served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, diced

8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup sour cream

8 oz egg noodles, cooked

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add the onion and mushrooms. Cook for 4-5 minutes until softened and lightly browned.

3. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir well. Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly until smooth.

5. Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

6. Reduce heat to low, stir in sour cream, then return the beef to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through and serve over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain for the most tender texture and keep the heat low when adding sour cream to prevent curdling.
