Cajun Shrimp and Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the salmon and shrimp evenly with the seasoning blend.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add salmon and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until flaky. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  6. Return salmon to the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Tip
