Cozy cheddar and turkey bacon stuffed mushrooms perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
1 lb whole white mushrooms, stems removed
4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and finely chopped
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Toss the mushroom caps with olive oil and place them hollow-side up on the sheet.
3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, turkey bacon, green onions, garlic powder, pepper, and salt until smooth.
4. Spoon the mixture into each mushroom cap, slightly mounding the filling.
5. Bake 18-20 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden.
6. Let cool a few minutes before serving so the centers can set.
Notes
Letting the mushrooms cool slightly helps the filling firm up for cleaner bites.
