Description

Fresh cherry tomatoes filled with a creamy cheese mixture for an easy no-bake appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pint cherry tomatoes

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tbsp chopped fresh basil

1 tbsp olive oil

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and pat them dry. Slice a thin piece off the top of each tomato.

2. Use a small spoon to gently scoop out the seeds and pulp, creating a small cavity.

3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

4. Spoon or pipe the cheese mixture into each hollowed tomato, filling just to the top.

5. Arrange on a serving platter and chill for 10 minutes before serving if desired.

Notes

Chilling helps the filling set and makes serving easier.
