Description

Warm, cheesy Chicken Philly Sliders made with tender chicken, peppers, onions, and melty provolone baked on soft rolls.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

12 slider rolls

8 slices provolone cheese

2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the sliced chicken for 5-6 minutes, until mostly cooked through.

3. Add bell peppers, onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook 4-5 minutes, stirring, until vegetables are tender and chicken is fully cooked.

4. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.

5. Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the rolls, then layer provolone cheese on top. Add the top halves of the rolls and brush with melted butter.

6. Cover loosely with foil and bake 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and cheese is melted.

Notes

Toast the bottom buns lightly before assembling if you want extra structure.
