Description
A cozy, alcohol-free Christmas peppermint hot cocoa mocktail that’s creamy, festive, and simple to prepare.
Ingredients
2 cups whole milk
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
Whipped cream, for topping
Crushed candy canes, for garnish
Instructions
1. Warm the milk and half-and-half in a medium saucepan over medium heat until steaming.
2. Whisk in the chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and sugar until fully melted and smooth.
3. Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract.
4. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.
5. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over each mug and serve warm.
Notes
Add an extra drop of peppermint extract if you prefer a stronger mint flavor.
