Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Cook penne pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain.
3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, then slowly whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth and thickened.
5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until the sauce is creamy.
6. Combine cooked pasta, chicken, and Alfredo sauce, then spread evenly into the baking dish and top with mozzarella.
7. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
Notes
Cover loosely with foil for the first 10 minutes for an extra creamy texture.
