Sweet and savory honey garlic shrimp cooked quickly in one skillet for an easy, comforting dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional garnish: sliced green onions
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
2. In a separate small bowl, stir together cornstarch and water until smooth, then whisk into the sauce mixture.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer.
4. Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until just turning pink.
5. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently, until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp evenly.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions if using.
Notes
Serve over rice, noodles, or vegetables. Do not overcook the shrimp.
