Tender oven-baked chicken breasts seasoned with classic Italian herbs for an easy, reliable dinner.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them in the baking dish.
3. Drizzle olive oil evenly over the chicken, turning to coat both sides.
4. In a small bowl, mix Italian seasoning, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
5. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
6. Bake uncovered for 22-25 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
7. Remove from the oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Letting the chicken rest before slicing helps keep it juicy and tender.
