Easy oven-baked BBQ chicken wings with crispy skin and sticky sauce.
Ingredients
2 lb chicken wings, split and tips removed
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top and lightly grease it.
2. Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
3. Toss wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
4. Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
5. Remove wings from the oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce on both sides.
6. Return wings to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
Notes
Let wings rest uncovered for 5 minutes before saucing for extra crisp skin.
