Surf and Turf Shrimp & Salmon

This cozy surf and turf brings shrimp and salmon together in one simple skillet. It’s buttery, lightly garlicky, and feels special without being fussy. Perfect for an easy dinner that still looks impressive.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels and season both with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook 2-3 minutes more, then transfer to a plate.
  3. Add the remaining olive oil and butter to the same skillet and let the butter melt.
  4. Add garlic and shrimp, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Return the salmon to the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, spoon the garlic butter over everything, and sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Tip

For extra flavor, spoon the warm garlic butter over the salmon just before serving to keep it glossy and moist.

Serve this surf and turf with roasted veggies or rice, and save it for your next easy dinner.
