Description
Sweet and savory teriyaki salmon cooked in a glossy homemade sauce, perfect for easy dinners.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp neutral oil
Sliced green onions, for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
1. Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then whisk into the sauce.
3. Heat neutral oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
4. Add salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes.
5. Flip salmon and pour sauce into the pan.
6. Simmer 4-6 minutes, spooning sauce over salmon until thick and salmon is cooked through.
7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Serve over rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
